Well, got the bike back today, went out for a ride after swapping the windscreen back to stock. On a good note, the bike is easier to ride with the stock windscreen vs the double bubble. Wind isnt as turbulant.

Filled her up with the last of my money, and hit the road. I was expecting to ride the bike to work the rest of the week. Get to a nice spot, start taking a few pictures, and notice there is something strange on my left front fork. After a closer inspection, I discover its leaking : (.

Frustrated as all hell now, I head back home, stopping by my parents first to pick up an old pair of sunglasses. I noticed the bike was handing a little odd from before I stopped, but just chalked it up as I knew about the fork leaking, so was finding things wrong.

On the way home from my parents, the handling gets worse. The back end of the bike feels like its getting little to no traction in turns. Get home, check the oil, and catch a glimmer on the tire out of the corner of my eye. Somepoint in my ride I picked up a friggin nail! ARGGGG!

So, I have no gas in my truck, have no money, dont get paid for another 2 days, and have a bike that isnt really rideable. Heres to hopeing the 2 year extended warranty I got covers the fork seals!

Here are the good pictures I got of the bike : )

Man that sucks. I put a couple holes in my last tire also.
Fork seal should be covered.

Last year I went to help out with security at the CWS. I helped out while they set up all the tents and news crews. I got a nail in both tires. All the extra cash went to new shoes on my Buell.

Sorry about your bum-deal.

Im planning on getting the reartire plugged. It has a good 1000-2000 miles left in her. Gonna be fun getting it to the dealership. That reartire looses air kinda fast. Might have to get my trailer and load it up.

I really like how the pictures turned out as well : )

The dealer will not plug the tire for you. You are going to have to do it yourself.

+1 Beach. The dealership doesn't want to be held liable for the tire blowing out on you. IMO, I wouldn't do it bro. You blow that thing and the next set of pics you post your baby isn't going to look so hot. See if you have the tire warranty.

Dealer plugged the tire for me on my FZ6, they will most likely still do it.

They may pro-rate the tire...give you the value of the used one off the new one...worth a try but I would change it too.

Well, plan is to drop her off at the local yamaha/kawi/honda/suzuki dealer to get the reartire plugged, then its across the street to the HD dealer to get the forks done. I had no problems out of my FZ6 when I had its reartire plugged. Rode that tire for another 3k miles, sometimes riding it hard enough to scrape the poo out of the pegs. $40 for a plug is alot cheaper than $200 for a new reartire. The current reartire has atleast 1500-2k miles left on it as well.

Got the bike back, again today. Holy crap! I thought it handled well before, it blows that out of the water now! Front end is deffinately planted now, even over slight bumps. No more black specs thrown back onto my pants legs either! It feels like a totally new bike. It looks like they replaced the bushings, seals, and o-ring in both forks. I am very pleased with the way the bike handles now : )
