Will the 08 XB models run an 07 or newer race can, does it need a remap, and will it affect the engine duration? Basically will it work?

I think not. The header pipe is different and I think the outlet doesn't line up. You would need a full system. Plus, the race can wasn't available in '07.

You would also want the Race ECM or you would want to remap.

It will bolt right on as long as you are using a '04 or later Buell Race Pipe.

An 07 race can will bolt right on to 08 XB. 08's no longer require a TPS reset, not sure on the remap...

FYI... I installed a Spec Ops pipe and have not remapped. Bike runs fine, but I am sure ECMpsy can be utilized to fine tune it.
