Hey guys , I really love this bike...the only frustation at this time being the running in --like not being able to pass a briskly driven school bus on 684 in NY State..still it feels great and now i have set up the springs for my weight it feels even better.

My final point is thta I am glad I have had all the children I want as I am sure the heat from the motor - 9S Low - is going to effect my fertility at some time...man , my balls get hot..do riders with the standard 9S seat get this as well... if they don't I may need to make a swap in the future

Working away again this week, the 9S is a true weekend bike for me at this stage.

Well impressed with this site, really useful information and a true sense of cameraderie

Regards

Adrian.

he he.

I thought it was a plus seeing that my second child has colick and I was happy with 1. well think of it as saving the 700 that you would have to pay for the surgery

Data point: Regular XB9S seat. Balls all happy.

I think the worse offender for baked balls is the Honda ST1300. I think the GAS TANK reaches over 120F on those things and people have gotten 1st degree burns from the hot air coming out of the fairing.

So, does anybody know if the seat from a standard 9S will swap directly with the 9S Low seat, I am assuming that the only difference would be in the thickness of the seat material...I am getting used to the heat now, but i think it is going to be a killer in the summer

Buelluk, after break-in, with synthetic oil, you'll notice that things are cooler. Plus, the Winter months are coming and what is now a negative will be a positive.

Consider the Streetfighter seat that is shown on the buell.com website.

Adrian,

If you ever catch a white 9R going 60 in the right lane on 684, that would be me. Not for long though, as I will be close to 450 miles later today.

Maybe we can swap rides sometimes as I am done having 3 kids but my wife insists for one more. the problem I guess with marrying a younger woman.

I got 4 delightful little darlings myself.

The fourth was a big surprise as was the first.

I have always said I was raped in my sleep.

I also thought about e-bay but was shot down on that idea as well - damm wife - would have traded a couple of them for a 12s.

All joking aside - they are the four things in my life I could not imagine being without - everything else I could but the 4 little monsters no way. They all have their own dirt bikes as well now and love to ride.

Buelliedan, I thought I was bad marrying my wife when she was 22 and I was 29.

There is a reason why kids are so expensive. They are worth it, and with three, I have a shot at one taking care of me when I am old.

Do you really get to ride all five bikes?

I don't need children to take care of me when I get old. Thats the reason I married a younger woman!!

As for being able to ride all 5 bikes. I ride 3 of them: S2, S1 and the X1. My wife rides the Blast and the RSS is not ridden due to it just being so damn pretty!!

Then may I requalify myself and state that I possess three bikes and three kids.

03 XB9R (Mine)

99 M2 (Holding out on the right price)

03 Intruder 800 (Wife's bike, which she loves. I ride it sometimes to remind myself how good Buell brakes are).

I just put a XB9S low seat on my XB9S. It does feel a little warmer now but its not enough to complain about.
