Has anyone actually mounted one of these up and does it work?

These certainly LOOK better than the linear type stabilizers/steering dampener. I hate that thing sticking out in front of the forks.

From what I hear they are pretty good but pricey -- if the cost doesn't bother you go for it. Personally I would go with one of the ones available from Al at American Sport Bike -- the under-slung one is the one I have my eye on.

I have seen the GPR (Scott) stabiliser fitted to an Italian XB, but it required a custom made upper triple tree in order to make it fit. Also the 'fixed' mounts on the frame looked pretty weak (it used the two front airbox cover bolts) and would probably have broken in the event of a 'proper' tank slapper.

I tried to order one for my XB12Scg a few weeks ago. They gave me a call and said they're still working on getting a production model ready. Said it will be three or four weeks until one is ready. I should be hearing from them very soon, I hope.
I received some nice pictures of the stabilizer installed on an R. So they may have those ready to ship. They didn't have any of the S. I was told the S model will mount like the ones for dirtbikes since it has the bar clamp.
