I know this may sound retarded, but does anyone know what temp the can reaches? I want to change the color of my bike over the winter and I saw some high temp paint that I could use for fades on the race can but Im wondering how good of an idea that is. the paint says its good for temps up to 1200/ mookie |

Eh, not that hot, but for changing the color of your muffler, I SERIOUSLY suggest a ceramic coat, NOT paint. It's more expensive, but VASTLY more durable and will never, EVER bubble from heat. I think I paid about $110 to have mine done at a local shop. Bryan |

I tried painting the Blast's can since it's getting all rusted. Lasted all of ten minutes. It bubbled about 6" down from the head. By the time you get to the can on an XB it might be cool enough to stand up to it, but seriously, get the ceramic coat. Paint chips too easily and that race muffler WILL rust, it's only steel. |
