i went to go ride the bike today. started up fine but then i noticed that it started missing a little. then th e check engine light was blinking. and i noticed the when i turn the key on that i don't hear the fuel pump. anything that i could do at home that would help? the nearest buell dealer ship is 2 1/2 hours away. for the record it is a 2003 xb9r. the only thing done to it is a cut up air box. thanks for the help

Do you have the service manual.
If you do, jump the connector and see what trouble code comes up.

Does it have the original battery? I would check battery connections for tightness/corrosion and check your voltage.
