Hey all. This is my first post, I'm new to the badweb. I had a question that I'm sure must have been asked by, now but I couldn't find it. Is it going to be possible and remotely affordable to swap crank/rods/pistons(if needed) to turn my XB9 into a 12?

No that would be big $$$$$$ but get in touch with Nallin racing and those guy's will make it exactly what you want.

Actually, if you could do the labor yourself...
Replace the crank assembly($505), bore intake($???), replace stock header & pipe. Check w/Nallin. It would probably be a better idea to have headwork and purchase 1050 kit. Less labor, you'd have to split the cases to swap the crank.

Thanks for the info, I noticed the 12's throttle body was a 49mm opposed to the 9's 45mm and the cylinder bore was the same. I'm curious if the inlet to the 9 race can is the same as the 12's so it can accept the larger header tubes.

Hey dudes,
Another question. I rode to work tonight and confirmed a noise I thought I heard the other day. Under moderate and even light braking, the front brake has a slight rythmic light knocking sound as I roll to a stop. When I got here, I looked around for something loose, the only thing I could find is that the pads can be moved around a bit by hand, but it doesn't seem too unusual. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

The infamous clicking noise you refer to is an on again/off again happening to a lot of XB owners. So far, no one has reported any ill-effects that are related to the noise. It's the rotor floating in the bushings. No big deal.
