Hi just wondering if anyone has fitted a jardine muffler to an 08 xb ive been told by the dealer that the engine light will remain on also that the bike will run lean
your thoughts would be appreciated

The light won't come on as long as you leave the exhaust valve actuator in place.
The bike shouldn't run lean, the DDFI2 should be able to compensate.

Does you mean just disconnect the cable and leave it connected to the bike !Have you tried this yourself or no of someone who has !

i have pipe on my 08 xb 12 its also jardine gp1 sound good hurt low end and i dont have check engine light on

Just curious what did you do with the cable , just left it connected or took it off appreciate your thoughts

I have an '08 XB12XT, I've installed a Jardine exhaust on it.
I removed the cable completely, since there was nothing for it to connect to.
Bike runs fine, I had to do some fine tuning with ECMspy to get ride of the deceleration popping.

Just wanted to let you know i have fitted the jardine today,sounds great only pops when backing off hard otherwise excellent the only thing i noticed was rev's seen to fall slower to idle. Thanks for all your thoughts idles at about 1ooo rpm

Hi Bartimus just a question regarding ECMSPY and the fine tuning firstly i have the same problem you had before your tuning can you tell me where i can get ecmspy and is the process easy to follow ?
