Lately it seems she is running a little rough and when i stop at lights or stop signs, she is dying. Any ideas? Of course I am overdue for my 1000 mile service. Thanks. I probably answered my own question, but...

I have some what of the same problem. I have to continually keep on the gas when warming up the bike (2-3 min.) and sometimes the bike sputters if I hit the gas to fast with the clutch in. I'm thinking its time for a tune up. Any suggestions here also?

I would start with a TPS reset, that cleared up my problem, also check your battery, if it isn't 100% it can cause rough handling at idle which may stall the bike.

If you have access to ECM spy or similare, I'd start with checking your TPS position and see where the AFV is running.

Where is your idle at when it stays running? should be 1050 RPM

If all the above is good, it may be:
1. vacuum leak
2. ignition problem (spark plug, wire)
3. sticky fuel inj

Mine would stall at idling or when I came to stop lights until I got my 1000 mi check up. My battery was bad also, which was probably the reason. I don't think the dealer fully charged the battery before I bought the bike. But after it was replaced it idled like a champ and never stalls anymore.

Doom,

I see you have a 2008. The new Motorcyclist did a test on a 2008 TT and it kept stalling out in traffic when it got hot.

Sounds like it may have to do with DDFI 3, which is new for 2008. I'd call the dealer and see if there are any re-flashes available for the new ECM, or if they have heard anything about 2008 stalling issues.

My City X did it after a highside and found that the idle sensor (hidden under the airbox baseplate near the velocity stack) had worked loose.
