Well, most say it's high miles. My 05 XB9SX has 44,900 miles on it. What you could check for is the maintenance being done to it.

40k is nothing, I had a friend with a 1995 GSXR-1100 with 76,000 miles, and my brother's ex-father-in-law has a 2004 Electra Glide Classic with over 110,000 miles so far. I think his ass has become part of the seat.....

One of my good freinds has an electra glide with nearly 80,000. I just rode it the other day and its as smooth as a new one. He is big on maintenance which I think is the most important thing for longevity.

82,000+ miles on my 4 year old Honda ST1300. Runs strong and smooth as ever.
