With a custom pulley going from 38 teeth to 41 teeth we needed a double link added to the chain. The stock chain missed by 1/4".

Now the chain is too noisy because it is kinked with the tensioner - so we need to try for a different size. Paulo had the bike to 220kph on the track and still had heaps to go, both revs and power. He is going back to the track tomorrow afternoon to max it out. I'd rather he waited until we get the bigger cog with a better chain fit before he pushes it, but its his bike.

He finds the bike smoother and quieter with loading of the bigger cog. He can still lift it in second, so that's all good. He may get away faster off the line because it delays the first upchange.

I'm ordering custom 42 and 43 tooth sprockets and we'll try them. These will push the rev limit over 250kph. His bike probably needs more mods to get there, but at least now he will be able to use the true max speed of the bike.

Once we have sorted it out BuellerParts will try to sell a couple of sizes. A 40 tooth may just fit with the stock chain, so that could be good for those who want just a little bit more.
