Hi Fellow Bueller:

This is my first post but I'm on my 9th Buell ('08 Uly) and possibly heading for my 10th Buell ('08 TT) which will be my 40th motorcycle.

Though I like the Ulys ( had an '06 before this one), I have always lusted after the TT since its introduction. Its badass looks remind me of a modern day S1 which was one of my favorite Buells. So being as fickle as I am, the TT is now in my sights.

I rode one the other day with Uly bars on it which for me was a big improvement (I'm 6' with a 34" inseam). However, after coming off the Uly, the TT pegs, though not uncomfortable for short rides, are still too high for me.

So question #1: Are there any peg lowering kits for TT's ? I know I can bolt on the Uly peg frame pieces but I don't want to since the TT will only be a solo ride so I won't need the rear pegs.

Question #2: Being spoiled by the increased steering radius of the '08 Uly, I understand that I can swap upper and lower triple clamps but I heard that the steering lock can no longer function. Can anyone offer any experience or knowledge on this subject?

BTW for any of you old tube frame fans, one of the last issues of Battle2win Magazine did a 3 page centerfold spread on a custom M2 I built back then. It was black and orange and very trick for the day.

I once had similar situation. But after riding with the new more aggressive ergonomics, my knees and legs soon adapted; I got used to them and found that they were actually much more comfortable for my back and bum in the long run as they allow more weight to be supported by the legs. You might give the new ergonomics a try for a month or so before deciding to change them for lower pegs. You, like me, may be surprised.
