My left side mirror (stock) seems to have a mind of its own and flops around like a big hootered stripper. Can you tighten the stock mirrors or should I just buy the Rizomas I love? |

Don't over tighten them it'll just break the acorn nut (don't ask!) What I did was use a bit of brass shim stock (.010") I got at the hardware store. I wrapped a bit around the mirror shank then slid the nut on and the collar on and dropped in back on the bike and that snugged it up nicely. If it doesn't do the trick you're only out a buck at the most. Heck I dou't doubt that you could cut a piece of beer can and try it for free. Just drink the beer FIRST! |

Before you tighten it, squirt a good dose of threadlocker inside the acorn. Then use the spanner wrench in your toolkit (betcha didn't know one of 'em fit!) to snug it down. Should hold for quite a while |

John - May I suggest the Aprilia Tuono mirrors? They look far better, they vibrate less, and are well made. I believe that American Sport Bike sells them pretty reasonably. Keith |

Al is currently back ordered from Aprillia for about 50 pair. I had some on order with him. I lucked out & found a pair of take offs locally. Great upgrade! Good luck finding them. |

I used to live with her! Web cam pics to prove it. The Swivily/Floppy part isn't down at the base, it's at the mirror. Suggestions?? |

Another +1 on the Tuono mirrors. They still vibrate, but not nearly so much. With the Tuonos, I CAN at least tell the difference between a Civic and a semi. Couldn't before! ~SM |

the tuonos are the answer, bolt right on, and well I know what my shoulders look like from the stock mirrors, its nice to see past them for that semi truck ! |

Bar ends. low vibration and can actually see what's behind you. |

No for the bar ends. I don't like them. Yes for the Tuono's. I love Al's description of how Aprilia needs to get moving on his 50 back orders. |
