To all who have paid; what should I expect to pay for a reset at a local dealer. My can is not stock and am going to add the race ecm in the parking lot and plan on adding a k&n later. Please offer any other tips or advice. Thanks! |

Your best bet is to call your dealer. They vary in price for some reason. If you have more than one dealer near you, call them all and get quotes. |

About $35, depending on the dealer. Or you can bum a reset off another badwebber that has the software |

Get the TPS done after you did everything...can, ecm and filter. $35.00 is about right. |

Mine also needs done. Are there negative effects if it is not done? |

Are there negative effects if it is not done? Yep. They range from flat out not running, to poopy running, to coughing/spitting. Your a/f is going to be out of whack if you don't get the reset done when the bike starts acting up - could go rich and foul plugs, could go lean and cause other types of damage...but basically one of the parameters the computer uses to set fuel and spark delivery is out of whack, so everything else will be out of whack too. |

"to poopy running," I think my bowels need a TPS done this morning. |

If you are in the SF bay area I have the cable and software to do this. PM me if you want to do it. |
