I just got the Buell tank bag and started installing the straps to the air box lid. The front two, near air inlet, went in smooth. The second two, near seat, seemed like they were going in smooth but then just kept spinning. I backed the screws out and saw that the threads in the frame were stripped. I guess my only option at this point would be to re-tap the threads. Anyone know what size I should tap them?

can't remember what size it is, but same thing happened to me. I know its a standard size and my B.S. harbor freight tap and die set that I haven't used in 5 years had the size in it.

good luck. its really not that big a deal.

1125r is 6mmx1.0 watch out and they use #30 Torx versus 27 for the SAE threads.
