It's a custom stainless bracket I fabricated to go with a modified Dark Horse Moto rear caliper relocator bracket. The LP bracket gets sandwiched between the swingarm mounts and the rear caliper bracket. The frame has LED lights to provide visibility at night. | ||

I have been researching doing this for some time and I love the way your plate looks.  PLEASE PLEASE show close pics at different angles so I can see exactely how you did this.I do alot of fabricating but a pic is way better then anything you could tell me.Thank You in advance and it looks sweet also love the whitewalls. | ||

Thats a nice looking location -- really fits the bike IMHO! Can't wait to see what else you decide to do. RPM, as I understand it Eldredma made a custom mount that hooks to the Dark Horse Moto rear brake relocation bracket -- the rear brake gets tucked behind the swingarm. The bracket is 0.105" SS. I had the Dark Horse Moto caliper bracket machined down on the side facing the swingarm 0.105" in the area where the LP bracket would be. This allowed the LP bracket to be sandwiched between the swingarm caliper mounts and the Dark Horse Moto caliper bracket without displacing the caliper itself. The LP bracket was cut/fabbed so as to not interfere with the attachment of the caliper to the bracket. I also took the time to drill corresponding holes with the Dark Horse Moto bracket, so they actually look like one piece from the pulley side. It doesn't interfere with the caliper because of the new caliper location and the way I machined the bracket(s). Props go to Keith for lots of support and Stewart Anderson for machine help. Thanks for the support everyone; I'm glad you like it! The whitewalls have been beat to death in a previous post; I'll keep polishing them and you all (those who are) can keep complainin'. I think everyone will like the bike when it's finished though. A couple more parts and I'll be posting pics of the final work of art. I can send/post some other images (this weekend when I get back home from work) or even a CAD drawing if anyone's interested enough. (Message edited by eldredma on May 05, 2008) | ||

I would say either black or red to match the wheels. I like the look added to a modern bike. Ever seen a Rat Rod with modern engine/transmission? I have. You don't see too many of them running around with original powertrain. | ||

Yeah, ignore Jramsey -- his profile is even full of @#$%.  Seriously, the whitewalls are very nice and will look perfect if your doing what I think your doing (something I considered doing my self actually). I have yet to see a ugly Buell -- maybe design choices I wouldn't go with, but still a bad ass Buell. And for the record, the B2 stealth would look awesome flying backwards being pulled by reindeer in pink track suits!  | ||
