Where are you going to attach it? To the engine? Kinda defeats the point of a crash cage, and instead becomes a "force transmitter" to better focuse the energy of the crash directly to the motor... not a good thing.

Or mount it to the frame? Where? No slider bosses (the pucks do better then sliders anyway). Can't weld to the frame without recoating the inside, as it is also your fuel tank.

There have been various crash cages come and go... but I haven't seen any that look better then pucks and sliders...

The pucks are pretty darn tough.

Not much of a stunter myself, but I do understand that Powers Stuntworks are the go-to guys for cages.

Here is their web addy:

http://www.powersstuntworx.com/

The don't list Buell, but I believe that they have made Buell cages.

They make it for the Buell, I have one in my garage, waiting to mount on the bike, along with the right side air scoop and really aggravate the mothership.....
Worse case scenario, the bike gets a new XB12Stt frame.

We had a stunt group at our Buell open house last month, they use the Powers cages. They beat the crap out of those poor bikes, and have been since '03 (yep, same bikes). I even asked them after the show - how often do you have to replace stuff? They said they replace the slider buttons on the cages once in a while because they grind down, and they've had to put in one new set of fork seals the whole time they've been using the bikes. Wow. I looked up close at the bikes, no signs of welds or repairs anywhere. The cages seem to work pretty damned well. I'm actually thinking about getting one for my Uly as a 'crash bar' of sorts...but don't know if they make a cage for the long wheelbase bikes.

If you love to carve corners, just be careful as I seem to remember someone on here said that he ran the cage into the ground not thinking about it. Team X-treme should have some video's up on youtube with their cages

yep, a cage will remove 5-10 degrees of max lean angle on your bike -- an issue if your knee draggen on the track, maybe not so much on(or off) the street.
