I recently bought a street fighter tail for my XB. it replaces everything from my airbox to my tail light. I only have one problem. Before i received my new tail, i sold all my old parts. the new fiberglass airbox doesn't fit that great and has the 2 scoops down onto the frame. So now I NEED AN AIRBOX if the new tail would have came a day earlier i would still have my stock airbox.

I want to cut the new airbox off and mold in the stock airbox. I cant find an airbox for sale to save my life. I don"t even care about the condition. If anyone can help me i would be very appreciative . I will also keep pics and info updated on my swap.thanks in advance.

CARL

Yeah that would look pretty nice. I am just looking for a stock one now, considering that i have already dished out 1600 for this tail and subframe. The stock one fits great and i can change it up after i get it. thanks for your help.

Your bike looks really cool. What color are you going to paint it? Are you going to mod the new airbox?

Here is a little update. some of my parts finally came in, including an airbox, new led tail light, a couple of stock brackets and graphite gray paint. here are a few pics of the all the wiring ran, new airbox, and my seat mock up.

I am using a speed triple tail light it is led with intergrated turns.

I am thinking of going camo with the front fender and rear hugger in gloss black. I have included a pic of my new helmet. this is kinda how the camo my look. I am not 100% about the paint yet.

let me know what you think. thanks

Nice work and I'm sure it will be awesome when finished.

It does look like your seat has a boner tho, and the last shot looks like you have pretty blue training wheels on it.

It is Urban Camo,(same as the Icon riders), there are tons of places that sell the sheet vinyl with that pattern $40-70.00 depending on the size sheet you get. Much easier than paint and if you get tired of it you can just peel it off and your good to go. Projects looking great man.
