So i did my first oil change today on my 03 9r. i have had the harley dealership do my previous 2. I used the Castrol synthetic 20/50 that i got from American Sport Bike.

I've read some posts on procedure and i have the service manual. I followed it almost verbatim. i 3/4 filled the K&N kn177 oil filter i used with oil. lubed the seal. Hand tightened it on. I spilled some oil when i was filling the swingarm though. i figured i spilled about as much as i put in the filter so i put 2 quarts in and then put 500 ml of the 3rd quart. i went for a brief ride, about a mile, and checked the oil level when i got back. It was in the full area on the dipstick. So my question is. Does it sound like i did everything right and is there anything else i should do or worry about?
