When I go to download a pic, this web page limits me to a 800x800. How do you get your larger size pics on? Thanks

800x800 is the max size in pixels or DPI (dots per inch). If you have an image that's 2"x2" and 800x800 dpi, try going to 4x4" at 400x400 dpi. Its possible to post a larger image, but the resolution of that image will be lower. If you "Save As" when saving a .jpg, save it with med. or low compression. Or just email it to me and I'll make it larger in PhotoShop.....

I've found it easier to post on other sites, and link it.

If I was able to figure out how to post a photo here, anyone can.

It's simple, no more than 800 pixels in physical dimension, height or width, and no more than 71 KB in file size. Those are the only limitations and most folks have no trouble with them.

Try www.xat.com image optimizer free demo version. Use 85% quality and 60% magicompresion. Boom, there you go.

DPI is pixel count. What I posted wasn't wrong. If somebody is trying to post a larger image (not in resolution) it is possible to decrease the pixel count to increase the overall size of an image. I do the reverse every day to digital images that come in at 72 dpi at 36"x28" to reduce/increase to 6x4" at 300 dpi.

When you increase an images overall resolution you'll decrease how large (in inches) that pic will be.
