Where was that at?

Ah well, bah. Here's what we get in CO

US Route 550 - Colorado
Million Dollar Highway
Montrose to Durango - 108 Miles

BUELL MOTORCYCLE RIDERS PICK TOP 10 TWISTY ROADS

Million Dollar Highway (US 550) –Named from the low-grade gold ore present in parts of its road bed, this high-altitude highway climbs to over 10,000-foot passes between Durango and Silverton in southwestern Colorado.

# "I rode from Montrose to Silverton on 6/30/07 and found the views to be beautiful. The road over Red Mountain was a bit rough and had several pot holes, so be careful. Also there are a couple of places where the road has no guard rail, (no place to put them) so if you are afraid of heights be warned. Otherwise, a very fun ride with curves like none other." - Rider from Colorado (7/1/07)

# "The route of a life time! Twisties to die for, scenery at every turn, sheer drops from the roadway and places to stop like Ouray to delight the rider. Bring your camera and watch the road." - Rider from Golden, Colorado (2/18/07)

# "This ride over the San Juan Mountains in Southwest Colorado includes the 'Million Dollar Highway' from Ouray to Silverton - 23 miles of non-stop up-and-down twisties peaking at the Red Mountain Pass (11,018'). There are numerous spectacular viewpoints. The Silverton to Durango stretch also includes two more 10,000+' passes. The major towns date back to gold and silver mining days, with many biker-friendly restaurants and accomodations." - Rider from Glendale, Arizona

# "Twisty, scenic, breathtaking. Have to really pay attention to the road not to run off of it! Telluride and Silverton and Uray are great stops along the way. Old mines, cleared off portions of the mountains where avalanches have been previously, snow in the high mountains. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful." - Stephen Docherty

Where were you? That looks like north Florida to me.

I took a ride up to the Brooksville area last week and had the most fun I've had on Florida roads. Not NC fun, but the best fun yet. Gonna do it again asap.

That was on Ozello road, near Crystal River. If you guys ever want to do a run between Brooksville and Crystal River, let me know. I am familar with many roads in the area and have a nice 2 hour loop. The route can be changed to end further towards Brooksville and/or be longer than 2 hours...

Paint, long as all goes well I'll be in FL in June. Any chance you'll have a weekday free between June 23-26? I'll be willing to ride with you then. Will need to get breakin done. Mind you, I'll be up at Gainesville HD buying a new bike on June 20.

Firebolt,

I have ridden with the Lakeland Buell Club before. They have taken me on some of those twisties down there. Downside is, it is a 2 hour ride just to get there....

Cataract,

I am off the 23rd and the 24th. Let me know. Maybe we can get Paul to come out and play!!

Were you around the Tuskawilla area of winter springs? I keep seeing a white firebolt and wondering who it is?

I live in Daytona and there are twisties you just have too know the roads. Highbridge road is sweet and so Is Williamson goes right by the Daytona 500 behind a small airport and there are allot of nice side roads. Too bad so many cops around here with nothing too do.

Exactly like that... I pulled up to a light with my Harley crew, the mystery man gave me a my bad...a . Therefore i gave the universal badweb shocker and mr. x gave me a nod. So either he uses the shocker or he is a badwebber.

I resemble that remark!!! LOL

Far as I know, I am the only one in the area with a white Bolt and a white helmet w/ a blue shield.

Mine was red at the time...but when I saw the white I had to have it. I'm leaving the orange buells decals. Other than that it will be strictly white/black.
