I got off of work this morning (3rd shift) rode home, and headed to the dealership to get my 1k service done. After that was done, I enjoyed the wonderful weather we had today and went for about an hour or so ride. I ended up at my parents house, went inside and crashed on the couch.

Then I here someone saying, "come outside, I need help". Me being half asleep I just laid there while my dad went out. Shortly thereafter my wife came in the house and said, "hey your mom just knocked your bike over". I didn't believe her but went outside just to see what was going on. When I got outside, my dad had already picked my bike up and was looking the bike over. Luckily I parked near the grass, so my bike fell into the grass.

Total damage is broken right side ebay special bar end mirror, broken rider peg, and some scratches on my header pipe. Already ordered the mirrors, and peg. I might try to sand the scratches out. Anyone wet sand there headers?

I was a little upset about my bike but felt horrible for my mom. She was so upset with herself and went to her room for a couple of hours. I assured her that everything was ok and that the bike would be back to normal before she new it, but she was still upset.

The bad part about it is that I had planned stop by the local dealer's open house tomorrow and take their demo 1125r out for a spin but it is a little hard to ride the bike without pegs!!

you can use the passenger pegs to replace the rider pegs for a temp fix. if you really want to ride tomorrow.

use an automotive sand paper you can get wet... Very light grit..

works great and you can get all around the pipe as well...

Thanks guys. I took the passenger pegs off of the bike so I will try to use them. The bike is still at my parents house.

Get her a card and tell her you love her. Tell her that your bike isn't as important as her and you don't want her to be upset. You sound like you're a good son.

then tell her just don't ever let it happen again.

another option for the header is using "Bar Keepers Friend", I think thats the name of the product, it'll polish out the pipes real well to a brand new stainless steel finish.

and +1 on what Cudajohn said
