Had my first track day of the year yesterday at Pocono Raceway. Buells were represented by myself on my 9R and a guy on a 12s. I believe the guy on the 12 was out for the first time. He had that grin from ear to ear even with a slight mechanical malfunction that kept him out of a session in the morning.

I was riding I (NESBA) and was having a blast all day. Morning started off wet. Rained most of the way up to the track. The track was wet for the first session but the control riders kept us all at a pace that they knew would cause no issues but it was much faster than I had ever run on wet pavement. It was good to have that experience. Session 2 was 50/50 wet/dry and by the 3rd session the sun was out and the track was bone dry. Afternoon sessions were great fun.

Looking forward to Summit next weekend (4/19). Anyone coming out to play?

I'll be there.... However, I'll be riding my Triumph 675 (dedicated track bike). I have a black trailer and the bike number is 405. Please say hello.

That was me on my XB12s cg. I am so glad we fixed the throttle problem and I was able to ride on the track. I had a great time and the buell did very well. It was my first time out and I will be back. I was totally exhausted afterward.

I did have one "incident" and I rode through the wet, rocky and nasty infield. However, I did not drop the bike and I was able to resume riding. I just need to remember to relax my arms.

I look forward to seeing at th track once again. Are you going to the NJ Buell event on Oct 12?

LocoBueller - I hear ya man. I couldn't walk down steps til tuesday. The Buell is a force on the track. May not have the nads that the big boys have but it will hold it's own for sure. I'm not back at Pocono all year except for a private session with a local shop on a weekday but if you find yourself signing up for Summit I may be there.

Pat - I will stop by. I love the 675's. I'll come by and drewl.

Pat - It was great meeting you and your buddy (sorry man your name slipped my mind). Kinda funny that we pulled in next to you in the pits. I had a beer for your guys at the end but you were gone by the time we got done with our last session. You guys were look'in good out there. Tony and I will be back to Summit in 2 weeks. That was a fun little track. Reminds me of a mini Beaverun. Anyways, it was great meeting some fellow BadWeb'ers out there (even if you weren't sport'in the Buells.

Nice to meet you as well! What a great day we had. I really liked that track as well. I'm sorry we had to run. Both Ron and I had family commitments Saturday evening. I'll be back on 5/2 for Summit Main. Via a PM, I'll send you our tentative schedule for the rest of the season. It would be fun to meet up again. Please stay in touch, I'd love to take you up on that beer.

We'll see ya for sure on 7/19. Plans for Indy include leaving Friday and riding back roads out Friday and Saturday. Race Sunday. B-Line it highway home on Monday. That is subject to change slightly but by 7/19 we should know what the plan is.

Sounds good! My e-mail is my user ID @ comcast.net. Please drop me a note so that I have yours. I'll plan on the 19th. As my wife is making the trip to Indy with me, we are taking a Southwest flight. I'm jealous that you are making a great road trip. Talk to you soon
