That's right, she's finally done minus the r crins rss and traction hand grips which are both due early next week. we were all set to put the tank badges on, but i think it looks good with out them, uncluttered if you will. many MANY thanks to Buellshiter (Mike W) who actually did most of the work while i was slaving over a hot steering wheel at work. paint by Lenny of Northfield Collision in Northfield Ohio. Here's a list of what's changed since it left East Troy. Bar end mirrors blue pazzo levers select seat frame pucks american sport bike under seat screens (painted blue) American Sport Bike oil dipstick LED turn signals Slow turn signal relay Buell hero blue wheels pirelli diablo rosso tires Lydall gold front pads Jardine exhaust Dark Horse Moto sliders Precision engineering gen 1 controls 2007 outer airbox cover drummer catch can idler pulley painted blue side rails and tail painted gloss black cheese grater insert painted blue to match wheels. airbox cover, windscreen and front fender painted black with blue stripes, silver trimmed. custom helmet lock. Mike and i have the only 2 known to exist. the chin spoiler has been removed hand guards removed rcrins rss and buell traction grips go on this week. the jardine will likely be put to pasture when i get the drummer ss i'm in line for. here are the pics. i'm happy with the way it turned out. I wish i could get a helmet lock like that on my 9r. i posted some pics on the other thread of mine outside so you could see the paint. Awesome job and congrats on completing CityX 2.0. |

the helmet lock started out as a helmet guardian. http://www.jpcycles.com/productgroup.aspx?GID=B17C 6515-DEF7-4B5D-A82A-5334E3CD3230&search=helmet+loc k&store=All&page=4 we cut the bracket, bent it, drilled a hole in it. shot some paint on the bracket, reinstalled the lock and mounted it to the bike where the pass foot pegs mount. you could put one on each side, or give one to a friend like i did. |

Yeah jim, very fine flake. the idea was that it would match the translucent blue wheels and tank badges, and it does quite well. i just cant decide if i wanna put the badges on. i'm afraid the tank might be to busy or cluttered with them. |

leave them off. it will keep non buellers wondering what the hell you are riding. plus it looks cleaner without them. |

I was wondering how a black xb12s would look with the blue wheels well you pretty much answer my question but the strips make it even better but now I can't really do it it wouldn't be original. |

BUELLTIFUL !!!!!!!!!!!! Nice Job. Here is a pic of mine with bed liner spray and the mesh with the sliders. I will be spraying the rear fender portion soon. Can someone post a pic of HOW a helmet is attached to the locks. I have never been able to conceptualize this. How does the helmet attach to the mount. tanks. Again f'n great work..... that is bad ass. |

matching the side rails and the tail piece is one of the best things you can do to clean up the lines of an xb imo. looks good there Tank. d-rings on your helmet go thru the locking u-bolt thing. this horrible video shows how they work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Fu72uWmGtc (Message edited by badlionsfan on April 06, 2008) |

Looks great! The photo makes it look like the rear tyre has shiny marks on the chicken strip area and is rubbing on the swingarm! |

when those pics were taken, the tires still had that new tire oily crap all over them. they have 115 or so miles on them now and the review of the pirelli diablo rosso from this unskilled rider is two thumbs up. really like them. i gotta go track down a new quiet insert for my jardine, the one that came with my muffler is on the side of the road some where. |

Dude, that thing is bad Ass ;) Dont know if you get out to ride in the rain much, but that channel on the sport seat is just like a big gutter to duct a full drain spout of the wet stuff right down the keister. Found that out the hard way the first time I went Mud Buggin with mine. |
