You can get a thread pitch gauge and measure the threads on the dip stick.

Ted,

We are nearly finished with a custom temperature gauge in a really nice black anodized, aluminum billet oil cap. Stay tuned!

Hey Skully,
If it's low profile and easy to work with can I get the first one?

That is the prototype installed on my 08 Uly. Keith has made several changes since that one, it will look a bit different based on inputs from the fitting/testing.

I've had it on the bike for about 1.5 months now and it works well. I try to take a look at it every time I get off the bike, I typically see about 220-230 degrees on a fully warmed up bike. 08's run hotter than previous years, so they might be a bit lower.

Thanks guys! The printer for the custom Dark Horse Moto gauge face is running way behind. Once the thermometer maufacturer has the faces, it will only take them a day or two to assemble and ship them.

The custom billet oil caps are at the anodizer now and we are trying to get a status on them today.

Thank you for you interest!

I had one of these on my Sportster and liked having it there. I'm not sure it ever really told me anything I didn't already know, but it was a cool little peice.
