Am I missing something? Yea I know they are not made anymore..Wasn't the whole kit and ECM just under 5 hundred???

For that much I might sell mine and buy a Micron.....

No you're not missing anything. You've got the nail on the head there.

That is why they are going for so much. Plus if you look at the exhaust shootout by American Sport Bike (you can find it on their site) you'll again see why.

Thats why I sold mine. I bought the bike with it, and I sold it on Ebay and got a Drummer and can out $50 bucks ahead after shipping and everything.

But I don't feel bad at all, that Race can was everybit as good as this drummer. The drummer has a deeper roar to it, but I think the race can could be heard further away, and still sound louder at a distance. Plus you retain the jack points.

As far as performance, I miss the top end burst I had with the Race can, but there is a little more down-low torque with the drummer.

For me, the drummer is the only one I would go with after the Race one. Its still a very good option.

If you're lucky, you may be able to find a dealer that still has some in stock for retail price.

Do the stock exhausts bring any money? I see people sending them out to Drummer and what not...are they of any value?

stock exhaust in decent condition on ebay around 25-50...

I sold my XB12R with the factory race kit that I had installed on it (back when you could still by them) and got a good amount of extra $$$ for the bike with it. I also had a bunch of carbon fiber on the machine also. I was kind of sad to see her leave the country, but she went to a good home. The obsolete race kits are only worth what people are willing to pay for them and they are paying big time. I wish I had bought a couple more and hung on to em.

The race can kit was in the mid-sixes as I recall when they were being sold by Buell. I bought mine new on eBay from St. Paul HD for around the mid to high fives I believe.
