My beloved xb9 suffered a serious transmission problem at 27,000 miles. I took it to Gainesville Harley-Davidson/Buell and Kevin was able to get HD to cover the cost of the parts. As fate would have it GHD had just gotten in a new XT, which they were selling at MSRP with no other charges except tax and title. Already a great deal IMO. Sooo--I traded my ailing xb9 and my venerable but undesirable to the faithful Dyna FXDXT for the Uly XT. I think it's the perfect solution. It's an xb like my lightning low and an xt like my dyna! GHD gave me a really fair trade-in on both bikes, especially considering the xb needs an engine tear-down to get to the tranny, has fairly high miles, is a low, and has the wee motor and the dyna has 37,000 miles on it. Although the XT is a challenge for my 26" inseam at stops (you should see me trying to raise/deploy the sidestand-lol), it's absolutely fantastic on the road! I've even had a chance to try out the heated grips--very nice, but the best part is it's the fast color--stealth black. Many thanks to the motor company(s) and GHD! |
