what's the applicator chemical called? i bought my pucks last year and never got them on. now the stuff in the little cardboard tube things dried up. i remember seeing a thread saying you could buy the stuff at home depot, but can't remember the name or find the thread. thanks guys for any info you can provide.

Its just alcohol. Clean the frame area where the pucks will be installed with alcohol, let it air dry for about 30 seconds or so, peel the pucks and apply.

the directions tell you to use alcohol, then the stuff that comes in the kit. i think it's something else. could be wrong tho.

You could probably use a combination (not mixed) of detergent like 409, then isopropyl alcohol, and everything should stick nicely.

It's actually toluene and benzene (both known carcinogens by the way). The package actually has a warning label on it to that effect.

The only reason I know is that I was looking at installing them on my nephew's (Carbide) XB9S today. It was too cold in the garage so we decided to wait for a warmer day.

MEK - worked with it for over a year for over a year - 55 gal drums - causes cancer - when did that come out?
