Hey guys, Just finished porting and polishing these heads for a Buddy that wants to go abit Faster, Also installed some high Compression pistons, and Some Cams...

I KNow the porting is not Buell, But same principals are involved, So Don`t be afraid to do your own some day, just cleaning up the poor casting marks and Blending the Valve seats. etc.etc...

First time I have ever seen valves that were not round (at least not intentionally). I would think that the points on the valves would contribute to hot spots. Makes me wander if it is to increase or reduce in some action of airflow (tumble) or maybe low lift flow? I would like to know the Yamaha's thinking behind this.

I guess I need to step away from the crack pipe. I swear it looked like the valves were multi sided. Now I feel like a complete jackass. You know if I had stopped to think about the valve seat then I would realised what it was. I know better. I did not even notice the duck tape on the rest of the head. I am loosing it.
