How close does the clutch cable sit to the exhaust. I removed the clip. Forgot which way it sits. One way its easier to pull the clutch, the other way, farther away from the exhaust, it binds a little. Which way is correct. The manual doesn't show the wire clip.

I just installed the new style wire form on my bike and the cable boot is about 1/4" from the exhaust; it only goes on one way too.

I suggest you get the new style wire form...
