Retrittion, I live in Lacey, no metro, road expansion or emission taxes added on. I must add that I pay $38.50 if I go directly downtown to the state or I will pay $44.95 to use the franchised, private run facilities, they add $5.00 for processing.

And, yea, no need to tell me about how the legislatures break the voters wishes!!!!!
EDIT: WHOA!! I just noticed you are in Olympia, If I have to pay $180.00 I am gonna be pissed!!!!
EDIT 2: I just noticed your dealership, where did you buy your bike? Is you bike registered in King or Pierce county?? If so, your getting screwed for no reason.

Just a quick scan of the posts reveals that the states with the least population pay the least amount. Big states like California, with it's myriad of problems, is one of the most expensive. I guess runaway growth and expansion isn't all it's cracked up to be like some politicians would have us believe. |

Around $50 in Texas. Liberal state? Not so much.
I can understand the fee being higher in states that spend a lot more for seismic requirements, winterization, maintenance, snow removal and salt/cinders. It's a lot less expensive to build and maintain a road with non-union labor on flat solid ground that never freezes than it is for union labor on mountainous shifting ground that freezes down to 30"+. |

Purchased a new TT in Jan. $60 for registration (i.e. $30/yr for plates), $15 for the title, and $4 for the clerk to process the transaction. When the plates expire in 2010, the fee will be $60 for two more years, if I do the renewal by mail and don't go to DMV office. |

Thats the worst part about Quebec, the registration isn't include with insurance so it's that new ridiculous price plus the price of insurance which can be high for some. |
