Finally got around to hitting the seat rails with the Dupli-color truck bedliner product. Sanded down shot it up and I am happy with the results. Notice the over spray on the back end which I will sand and then hit also. I also added some side screens and some dark horse moto sliders. Just waiting for the Hepco and Becker rails and Junior Flash hard bags and the transformation will be complete. Have fun here they are!!!!

That dupli-color truck bed liner is real easy to work with. It is more of a durable paint than a true bed-liner. I love the stuff. Nice job!

Yup. That looks sharp. I think I'm going to have to get the side-mesh and sliders too now.

Oh, and the mirrors. Is the visibility better? Did you get those from BadMoto too?

The mirrors are from Trojan Horse (a sponsor here). I am not the happiest with the quality for the money. Cheaper plastics than I expected. One I had to get replaced because the lens fell out during my second ride with them. They have a smaller field of vision than the original mirrors but look great on the bike. As far as the Duplicolor, the product was about 8 bucks and seems VERY durable. I will take the back fender area off of it and finish it with the liner. Does anyone know the bolt size of the passenger stalk on the right side because it is different than the left side. The bolt inside the frame not the allen bolt heads on the stalks themselves. tanks

You mean the blinker stalk or the passenger foot peg mounts?

Passenger foot peg mounts but the bolt inside the frame. Only one side of the stalks has a bolt inside the other has just the allen bolt head that you unscrew.

Does the paint have any thickness to it?

I am just curious as my luggage has chafed my seat rails, and I have thought about repairing it.

Hey Gambit,
I am glad you mentioned that. I hope you are having fun with your 9. I live right down the street from you in Hardings Run 2. Stop by some time we will go riding.

Corporatemonkey,
I would say that the paint can be quite thick if you apply more than a few sprays to a specific area. It goes on pretty thick. Be careful of orange peel. If you spray to much on one area let it dry a bit and then gently spray over it. Most of the time it takes away the appearance of the orange peel look. Overall I really think it makes sense. I would not do my whole bike with this stuff but I had to do something with the scuff marks.

I also think it matches the gear box cover quite remarkably I might do the hand guards and the front of the chin spoiler.
