You won't. Buell has stated many times that the air coolers will be around for years to come. The air coolers are still well within EPA spec till 2012 I believe, after that there have been considerations made to make them legal. Why would Buell or HD discontinue one of their best sellers? Now, we might see a naked 1125 in the future. |

Ditto, Air cooled and water cooled will co-exist harmoniously for quite a few years to come. Thus making the Buell line stronger than ever |

i believe most buells will end up going to water cooled just for the pure fact that more hp can be made. the minds at buell know what the future hold. the air cooled motor can only go so far. proven by the 1125. don't you guys think that if they could make that kind of hp with a cheaper air cooled motor, they would of. cheaper of course meaning built in house and not outsourcing. look at toyota in nascar. they use dodge blocks, why? cheaper to buy then design and build to specs. thats just my take. i still love air cooled though. |

BMW tried to replace the boxer back in the early '80s with the K100 inline-4 engine. Customers would have none of that and today, the #1 selling BMW is the boxer-powered 1200GS. As BMW found out, choice is good - something I'm sure Erik has considered. |
