Here is a link to a earlier post where he replaced his oil pump drive gear. Was he wrong by not rotating the engine and removing the rocker box's to reduce the pressure on the valve train? Or can it be done this way with no worries? Thanks http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/214053.html |

Yeah, wrong. Look what Odinbueller says a few posts under, in the same thread. You will also need this: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/16082.html |

I saw that. But it was never really verified in later on in the post. I guess that is what I was wondering. So in order to do this properly I will need to remove the rocker boxes for both cylinders. That tool and probaly about 5 other ones I am eye balling right now at American Sport Bike. Spring is here and I never really stopped riding to do winter projects. I blame it on the bike...hahaha I am now debating on waiting till next fall. Thanks |

Engine must be rotated to access rocker box to relieve pressure. Feel free to send a PM if you ever have questions. Thanks. |
