What exactly are the symptoms of an incorrectly adjusted tps. My understanding is sputtering and hard starting along with poor performance throughout. With my bike it starts great, idles great and has a good top end from 4,500-7500rpm's. However, from 2,500-4,500 rpms it just plain bogs. It has a race ecm, open airbox mod, and buell race exhaust.Is this just the powerband of the xb9 with the race kit? Or are all 9's pretty weak through that rpm range? I thought that buell's and twins in particular would have very stout low rpm grunt. | ||

the buell race pipe has a hole in the mid range rpm. read the exhaust shoot out at american sport bike for all the details. | ||

Double check your ignition timing, Don't change it unless you know what you're doing. XB9's are, by nature, a bit soggy there, but incorrect timing will make something like that, that a few complain about, into something that everyone complains about. If a dealer services your bike, they should be, but probably aren't, checking the timing. |
