tonight I finally got to put my freshly re-routed stock pipe back on my bike. I must say the sound is mellow like a race pipe and the valve is still functional so she opens up quite nice.

What internal mods did you end up making?

Hopefully not as ear-bleeding loud as the last variant?!

Bill - same inside as the first variant, so I recon your ears'll be bleeding.

Lighting - unfortunately I didn't take in pics in process. Its a pretty simple mod I documented in a word doc. with drawings and explanations of what I cut and where, instead of pics.

It looks great, but I'd like to see it on the Dyno. The actuation calculations behind that valve are very complex and I wonder how they work now.
I was amazed to discover it only did anything in the midrange torque dip, and was open at both idle and wide open throttle. I figured they would be closed at idle, and open for max flow at WOT, but that's not how it is.

It's weird to hear a bike on the dyno get quiet and then loud again.

Jos - there's the plans I used so go for it! I'd kinda like to see the Dyno results myself, but being the cheapskate that I am, I'd have a hard time putting up the dime for something I'm not planning on selling.
Also as far as back pressure is concerned you would have to tune the pipe on the outlets (the length of pipe into the muffler, something I didn't include in my drawing), I have what works for me, but everybody is looking for something a little different.
