Well my horn finally gave out. Anyone have a better alt.? Some thing louder that will bolt into the stock location and won't show. |

I've heard an old tuber horn will work/fit and be louder. Anyone out there who can verify? |

+1 on the Stebel. 130dB is plenty loud. You can't fit it where the stock one is but you can fit it in the compressor behind the front fairing and the horn under the fairing bracket securely leaving nothing to see. The wound is similar to the tuber horns but louder. |

I switched to a tuber horn on my XB12R and now my Ulysses. The tuber unit is made by hella, is much louder, and has a better tone. You'll have to bend the bracket slightly to get it to fit in the stock location on a Firebolt, but it definitely fits. Here's a thread with pictures of my tuber horn install on my Ulysses: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/336960.html?1203180503 XB horn on left, tuber horn on right: I bought my tuber horns for ~$9/each, but was told the price has been changed to $14. Neither one is a bad price, but be aware that you can sometimes find the Fiamm blaster horn at autozone/advance/etc. for about $15. |

Thanks Spike, I guess I need to do a post for a firebolt horn swap. The M2 looks to be the most space friendly. I'm in the market for some new signals for my bike. I think I have gotten a direction for those now. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/321363.html?1204430155 http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/341247.html?1204860043 I like them both. But I'm wanting some rubber for mounting them on the bike. |

I realize space is a concern to you but +++1 on the stebel. It's at least 10X louder than my old tuber horn and easily wired in. Really freaks out the cagers. |
