Need a flywheel assembly for an XB 12, 2006 cases. Anyone know a good source or recommendation for the best replacement?

Thanks in advance!

I am curious as to why you need a assembly.
Did the old one wear out?
I have been told that the Buell XB series lower ends will last forever.
If you find one I would be curious as to the purchase price.
I understand that a OEM replacement would cost about $800.00

Qcbrob,
The "best" replacement for your crank would be the 2008 XB12 crank. The connecting rods are stronger, the crank pin is larger and the crank nut is replaced by a bolt which is less likely to spin off. You will also have to replace the rotor and sprocket assembly but this is also better because it is much lighter than your old one. The price will depend on what else you might have to do while you are there like de-glazing the cylinders and replacing rings. Hal's H-D/Buell has some great things that we can do to "refresh" that motor of yours. Why don't you give me a call at 262-814-8685 and we can talk about it.

To FX1200, under average use the Buell power plant will last a long time. However, if you are an aggressive rider or do a lot of track days then you will have to "refresh" your motor every so often. Running at wide open throttle for extended periods of time is detrimental to any engine.

Fx1200 -
I scored a set of great-condition cases and want to use them to build a ground-up motor JUST the way i want it, from cam-to-head. ( I also have a 2004 Sportster, which has a rebuilt 90-inch motor that I've learned alot from over the course of it's evolution).

BudC - thanks for the info, exactly what I was looking for. It will be a bit until I have the cash to drop, but I'll likely be giving you a call!
