Hello All!

I purchased a dealer left over 06 xb12s this weekend! I love it! I put 200 miles on it in one day. (orlando, florida) I am amazed how this bike responds. Its so hard babying this thing for 500 miles.

What is the typical fuel mileage i can expect once the motor breaks in? Thats to say being easy on the throttle...

Hard day of corner carving - 43MPG
Commuting at the posted limit - 50MPG

I sometimes spend more on tires than gas.

I can't vouch for my Lightning yet as the weather and lack of plates won't allow me, but my 2006 Ulysses was 55-60mpg consistently, even with beating on her and doing wheelies. I only got poor mileage when i was really beating on her at Buelltoberfest.
