Considering trading my '05 XB12R with under 10k miles in on a left over '06 Uly. My bike is in cherry condition but needs a rear tire. What would be a good, for me, price difference + TTT. was talking to a salesman today who said $2500 difference + TTT would be a ball park. Is that good?

When I run numbers I get a price difference of about $3500-4000 going from you're bike as a trade-in to their bike as retail.

Either the price is real good on the Uly, or he's giving you a great trade-in price on yours, or both.

Worth looking into, I'd say.

Well I took my Firebolt to the dealer today. After wasting a couple of hours of my time the best he would do was $4k OTD dif with my bike on trade. The only thing he found wrong with my bike was that it needed new front brake pads and a new rear tire.

I offered to replace both of the tires and the brake pads and give $3200 or $3500 dif as is. He turned it down. His offer prob wasn't bad but, it is not even in the ballpark of what I was led to believe. I'm a little pissed about that.

The salesman let it slip out that they have a mandate to sell the bike by the end of the month whatever that means? They have it tagged for 9k which isn't bad but, it isn't exactly a fire sale price either especially considering the time of year and the fact that it is going on three years that they have the bike.
I think that he may come down to $3500 OTD diff by the end of the month.

Dumb of him to say that! Go in there Feb 25 and offer something a bit lower than what you offered today...by the end of that week he'll be calling you back with something in your ballpark ;)
