Has anyone installed an open airbox kit on a XB9SX 06, and would like to share some pictures with me to give me a better idea on what the finished product should look like. (Cutting the tubing and using the Tee). Tips on removing the lower airbox cover without damaging the velocity stack and IAT sensor. And finally routing the gas tank vent/overfill tube. Thanks guys.

Like I said detailed info and PICTURES would be greatly appreciated since this is my first bike. Thanks again.

Go for it I'm a lum lum and I did it just fine, unless you've just had a cup of coffee and are really jittery it's easy. 10 min tops. And a great mod.

Search the Knowledge Vault, plenty of info there.

I went for it and it ended up being easier then I thought. But if someone could give me some ideas on how and where to route my gas tank vent/overfill tube, (you know the tube that use to go on top of the inner top airbox)so it's not just hanging around. I want it to look clean. Thanks again guys.

Punch a small hole in the base airbox plate and route it through so it lays nicely. Mine had some 'memory' to it so that's where I put the hole.

One more view.

I took some shots from the top, but the white airbox lid made everything else to dark.
