Poor guy - he has no idea how much laughter his Ebay ad has brought to this forum! I've laughed at the questions posted and wondered which BadWeBrs had posted them!

The first question (now at the bottom of the list) was mine:

I'm interested in a 12R and have been shopping around for an '08 (I love the white/blue combo). What is the difference between the standard 12R Firebolt and a "John Buell Signature" model? Also, how long is the extended warranty for? Thanks in advance

I'll give him credit for at least posting the questions and answers. If it had been me, I would've just taken down the auction as soon as I realized that I'd been busted.

I think we should all tell him the white was a special color but . . . in 2006 and tell him the bike seems mislabeled.

Or tell him that there is a "John Deere" signature model available in green/yellow.

P.S. Court... when you get a second, check your email.

Here are the latest Q/A from the listing

Question & Answer Answered On
Q: I don't believe you when you say "Believe me". The ad is full of errors (there is no John Buell, There is no signature series, etc) and illegal misrepresentations (the bike is not new) that it appears you are intentionally misrepresenting the product. You seem to know very little about what you are selling. Feb-06-08
A: I really do not appreciate the sarcasm! I hope that you have gotten out your frustrations. Thanks for your unneeded opinion.
Q: Just an FYI, I am a Buell Dealer and there is no signature series on any 2008 models. All 08 Buells have Erik Buell's signature on the triple tree to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the brand. Feb-06-08
A: Thanks!
Q: You really are a tough nut to pound information into... there is NO 1200cc buell motor. ALL 12R's have the 1203 Thunderstorm engine. there is NO signature series. what you are seeing on the top triple tree is the 25th anniversary signature of ERIK BUELL. NOT John Buell, or anyone else. You have a run of the mill XB12R there in one of the most striking color combinations available, that's it... Feb-06-08
A: I have already posted an answer to the CC's of the motor! And I sent in a correction to the auction. Read the answers posted. What i have here is a headache that I do not deserve.
Q: BTW - Just so you're aware, you're starting price is the same as the MSRP on brand new one, plus you have a reserve on it. Good luck with your auction! Feb-06-08
A: Thanks, it is not my bike, I am trying to help out a friend and boy am I starting to wish otherwise>
Q: Hey, I know you're confused about the whole "Signature Series" thing. The signature on plate on the top of the tripe tree has Erik Buell's signature on it. However, every single 2008 Buell has this same plate on it. This is bike is no different than every other XB12R sold in 2008. There are no special appointments, no special engine, no nothing. Hope this helps. Feb-06-08
A: Thanks!
Q: Who is John Buell? Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Feb-06-08
A: Thats quite alright, I am confused at this point myself.
Q: I have an 03 and am looking for something newer so what would those other "appointments" bee that make this bike better? The bike doesn't appear to be any different. And who is John Buell? Feb-06-08
A: The bike is a Signature Series, that is all I can tell you. I apologize if there is any confusion. Maybe a Buell dealer can distinguish the differences in the Bikes construction.
Q: How is 198 miles "Brand new"? Does the bike come with an MSO (Manufacturers Statement of Origin - as is required to be called "new") or an assigned title? Feb-06-08
A: No, no MSO. The bike is as good as a new one you would buy at a "DEALERSHIP". That is my opinion and I apologize if there is any confusion!
Q: Guy, all 08 models have the 25th anniversary badging on them also all the 12r models are 1203cc. Nothing special about this bike in particular and there is no John Buell it's Erik. Figured I'd let ya know before somone screws your rating up Feb-06-08
A: Thanks!!!!
Q: Sorry the bike is a run of the mill 2008 Firebolt. They made plenty of them. You are and is the owner very misinformed of what this motorcycle is. John Buell??? Who is that?? Feb-06-08
A: I will say that I know for a fact that it is a Signature Series, but whose Signature it is will be determined later today. Sorry for the confusion.
Q: There is no difference between the bike you are selling and any other '08 XB12R. They all have 1203cc motors. There is no signature series this year. I believe the only official signature series were the 95-96 S2's. The 2008 models are special because it is the 25th anniversary. But that includes ALL '08 models. Also, There is no John Buell, the name is ERIK Buell. You can check the corp. website www.buell.com Feb-06-08
A: There is a Signature Series Plate on top of thew forks. I am trying to find out and verify who signed the plate.
Q: all 12r's are 1203cc Buell's web page will verify. Just trying to help you from misleading people. And wouldn't it be an "Eric Buell" signature, who is "John Buell"? Feb-06-08
A: I have corrected what are honest mistakes on my part. It is a Buell Signature Series and it is a 1203 CC motor.
Q: Let me straighten you out: There is no "signature series". What you have there is a stock 2008 Buell XB12R, no different than any other 2008 Buell XB12R. There is no 1200cc motor, only 1203, the engine is called the "Thunderstorm" and it always has been. I know this. I own a Buell XB12R with the serial number 3 on it. Please change the description of the bike so nobody accuses you of misrepresentation. Feb-06-08
A: I apologize if there is any misunderstanding. There is a SIGNATURE SERIES and it is a 1203 CC engine. I am trying to help out a friend and I am going by the information he furnished. There is a SIGNATURE PLATE on the top of the forks. I am in the process of assertaining the correct name on the name plate.
Q: I'm interested in a 12R and have been shopping around for an '08 (I love the white/blue combo). What is the difference between the standard 12R Firebolt and a "John Buell Signature" model? Also, how long is the extended warranty for? Thanks in advance. Feb-05-08
A: As far as I know the 12R is 1200CC and the Signature Series is 1203 and it bears the Signature plate and it also has some other appointments that the standard bike does not have. The warranty is good until October of 2012. I will answer any and all questions to the best of my ability. I rode it this past weekend for about a half mile and believe me when I say HOLD ON!!!!!

I can see him now on the game show displaying his Buell trivia knowlege...."Things that roll on 2 Wheels" for 1000 Alex. Produced in E Troy, to celebrate 25 years of American sport bike production. *******
What is the John Buell Signature Series? "
Somebody give him a years supply of breath mints, and the home version of pictionary as parting gifts and we can all get on with the rest of our lives.

Somebody should have emailed him and tell him that they are John Buell and they don't appreciate people saying that he's dead when he is, in fact, still alive. : D
