Are there any GOOD Buell mechanics in Seattle?
I have a `04 XB12R. It runs great and I have no complaints. I don't have time to do all the maintenence I'd like to anymore but I can't find a shop I trust to do the work. I bought the bike with a race ECM, Exhaust and a big bore kit already on it, I just need some one in SEattle to go through it and not screw it up. Anyone have any suggestions?

I visited once. Does that count?: )

You might call Bob Monroig (Pronounce it "Mon-Roy") over at Lake Washington Technical College.

He runs the Harley-Davidson University program there, and knows alot of the local folks. He might be able to help you find someone. He's super sharp, and he's a damn nice guy.

I also have have an 04 XB2R and do not have time to do the upgrades myself. I was referred to this shop. http://www.randramericancycle.com/

I am having them install the bronze oil pump gear and a set of Baisley Hi-Performace roller rockers.

Kevin Garrison, the Buell tech at Downtown H/D-Buell has done all the warranty work on my Uly.

He has always done outstanding work for me. Of course since it was all warranty work, price was not a concern.

And since it is a Harley dealer, I always requested Kevin do the work. I did not want some "chrome installation specialist" working on my bike.........

I've met a couple of different Downtown HD techs, and I even got a tour of their shop. They were nice, smart, and DHD does send their techs to school (That's where I met them).

I didn't see anything that bothered me, and I look for stuff like that.

+1 on the recommendation for Kevin @ DHD.

He does fine work, but be mindful he is the only buell tech. I always request him, but several times I have found out he didn't do all the work, stuff had to be re-serviced.

If you are looking for a fellow Badwebber to support, contact Cityxslicker (Brian) at Legend HD in Silverdale. I personally have not had my bike serviced there, but if Brian says it will be done right, it will be done right.

I am NOT a tech. I take care of my Buell crew. I am at the shop all day, I will make sure it gets done, in a timely manner, within the quote and done by our Buell certified techs. Again I am not a tech. Our shop does all the work on my bike, trust me they have seen some abused equipment ;) Still working on getting all the standing order items that Court put up Last year. There is just stuff you should have on hand at all times.

I sorry if I confused people, I didn't intend to insinuate that Cityx is a tech. I was only mentioning that he sort of heads the buell side of things at Legend.

If you bring your bike to us, I PROMISE I will not get any MUD on it. I try and save all that for my CityX anyways. Thanks for the plug J ;)

I am thinking for April fools day I will have to round up a posse to have your bike secretly detailed.

You might not recognized it after...

Any chance of a Seattle area BadWebers get together this spring/summer? I would be in! It's nice to hear about the options for a Bueller in the Seattle area -- I am still covered by warranty but I am one-foot-out-of-the-door-and-ready-to-bail at the first sign of incompetence or "stealership" issues -- so far no problems, except for the usual HD snobbery when I ride up on my 12R.

Like I care. Wankers. : D

April 1st is a Tuesday, it is my day off, I will be on the bike, probably wearing down the last of the knobbies before I put the street tires back on it. If you can catch me in the MUD, you can spray the big chunks off, thinking of Riding to Lake cushman ;o
