I have an 07 XB9R and the service manual.

Recently purchased the VDSTS - Standard to do my own TPS reset. Been reading the directions prior to actually doing the procedure.

For those of you who use this device, step 10 says to select one of the modes from the tool bar (Ex. Gages, Strip Chart...).

My guess is that it will be obvious when I am actually doing the procedure, but just in case it is not, or if I go brain dead, which mode do you select at this point?

I think Al from Americansportbike.com has a thorough write up on the procedure hiding here somewhere. In lieu of that, i typically use the gauges, but they both provide the same info as the strip chart.

When you have the screen up, there is a row of icons at the top with your options. If you dont understand what the icon means, put your cursor on it and a bubble with the definition will pop up. Whether you choose guages, strip chart,or bar graph is personal preference. Just use the one you are most comfortable with.
