Hey- just a head's up... I bought the glass fibre right and left air scoops from Franks Parts in Germany. Good outfit - honorable business people. I liked the idea of having a more streamlined/tapered appearance for my XB. At first, I was running a carbon fiber RSS from American Sport Bike. It worked awesome. The cooling fan hardly ever came on. Gawd - I hope this doesn't open that can of worms about the benefit of running a Right Side Scoop. Anyway, the scoops from Franks Parts are nicely made - as are the belt guards I bought earlier. They do not, however provide the same air flow to the rear cylindar. There is too much space below the scoop for air to escape - unlike the excellent fit that Al at American Sport Bike has designed - where the contours of the lower edge follow the shape of the engine perfectly. I rode around 75 miles yesterday in very cool (and unfortunately wet) conditions and every time I stopped to turn off the engine, the fan came on - which NEVER would have happened with the other RSS. So, after selling my carbon fiber RSS to another BWB'r for a good price and spending the Euro's to chase vanity, I am sorry to report that it was pretty much a waste - it does look great though.

+1; they look cool but don't contribute to cooler running.

Pics. The 1st, with OEM. 2nd with un-painted aftermarket - that way you can see them better straight-on.

Yeah, I saw those but decided to keep it stock. However, where did you get those mirrors?!? They are nice! Mirrors and headlights are on my list of things to change for my 12R

Cheers,
Ret

147db - stock works - not necessarily rules. My experience is that the American Sport Bike carbon fiber RSS is the best set-up for lowering engine running temp on the rear cylinder. These as I said look great and IMO look better than stock - just don't work as well.

Retrittion - the mirror are very nice - Rizoma Prototype if memory serves me. I got them at PJ's parts - a great outfit from Kentucky, I believe. They are NOT inexpensive but the glass is optical quality - never seen nicer.
