I changed to Flanders superbike bars.
They are an inch lower and a 2 inches longer. I like 'em so far. Better handling.
I'm thinking going to drag bars myself.
The only thing is with an inch lower I have to be careful when turning/backing ect as the bars hit the "tank", but that's only when I'm parking and stuff, of course when I'm riding it's no problem.

I'm at work right now.
The bikes here but no camera.
I'll do it after I get home.

You don't really notice the length or the inch lower. That's why I was thinking about drag bars. The only thing I'm worried about is clearance with straight bars.

I tried some Flanders drag bars on my XB9S with no luck. The switch gear hit the frame and reduced the lock to lock steering travel by way too much.

The straight bars might work if you can figure out how to route the throttle cables.

The Crossroads approach may make the most sense for moving the bars forward and down without limiting the steering travel.

Thanks for the info Keith...
I wonder if one of these would work on an XB9S...

Hey Glitch,

Those bars just might work.

I've thought about designing my own version of the Crossroads style bars, but the last few days have been extremely hectic.

Keith:
I've wanted to try them but I don't know which would be the best fit. Too expensive to try and hope to get it right the first time. I've e-mailed the to see if they'll use me as a test dummy...

The bar end weights help a lot too...
And with the extra length the mirrors are of more use, I will replace the though with something lower...
