Congrats! Just passed my 1st yr (02 Nov)... course I only got in 7400 miles... but if it counts, 5000 of them were in the last 5 months!

Not terrible for a high school kid I think!

But congrats again, here's to years to come!!

For those who have had an R over a year, how are the headlights holding out or did you have to replace them on your dime because of poor light quality?

I've bought two sets in 48k miles.

I've had mine 4 years as of October '07. I had the low beam replaced once under warranty which fixed the problem for a few months. Fro the last 2+ years I've been just putting up with terrible lighting and waiting on a response from Buell. (not holding my breath)

Have owned and riding XBRs since the beginning of 2003, hardly ride the M2 anymore, which was my all time, all around favorite Buell, and motorcycle.
Headlights aside, the XBRs are magical to ride.
Night riding, advantage M2.
Can't shake the Super TT fever, reminds me of what happens when you cross a Firebolt with a M2, Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...............
Instead of new improved headlights from BMC, think they might take my XB12R and M2 and swap them for a new Super TT?

I really should add that, even basically stock, the Firebolt is amazing. It has been and still is an absolute joy to ride as a dependable economical commuter bike, traffic slicer, light-weight tourer, stoplight drag racer or canyon carver.
The EFI continues to be faultless.
The ability to sharpen steering response by adjusting front-end height is neat.
The fact that we can comfortably go sport-touring 2-up with a +4" windshield, Lightning pegs, Heli bars, Ventura rack and optional touring passenger pillion is priceless in my book.
