Does anybody know if the Race ECM works on the 08s? The Buell web site states that 04 and above. Just wondering if that includes the 08s. |

Leo: I would doubt that the current Race ECM would work since the 08' have the DDFI III and, it appears to be more than a little different. Just my guess based on the changes to the version. Neil S. |

I wonder if an 08 ecm would work on an 07 12R I've looked thru all the threads I found on a cpl searches but didn't find anything there were alot of posts about ecm's tho hehe learned alot just not what I wanna know so... do you think it's compatible I tend to think not only b/c of the crank timing thats new for the 08 it's the only reason i can think of... You've correctly answered your own question. In addition to the crank timing, the mapping is also different. I doubt the two even share the same connectors. |

'08 ECM's will not work with earlier years. The connections are different due to more prons or whatever they're called. That statement shows I'm not tech savvy but I did contact Mr. Lighton who IS tech savvy. He confirmed that the DDFI III is COMPLETELY different and that come June there should be a DDFI III compatable mod. |

It might be different but from reading other threads the same old problems exist |
