This bike was captured in Iraq during my tour. Kinda looks like fun!

That thing makes a Ural look plush.

I think I would want a tetanus shot before you handed me the keys. : D

the gun mount on the side car could help the brain dead drivers to "see" you!

Well, drop the side car and clean and fix her up and that would be a fun bike to trot around on. I love old bikes.

It would be fun to ride around town with the anti-aircraft gun attached to the sidecar.

a couple of years ago at maxton a fellow rode his Ural down from Canada with side car and went about 92 mph.A new record for side car. Some one this year put a side car on a Busa and went like 165.

My father-in-law has been lusting over a Ural for about 2 years now. He's just now getting his storage situation worked out to have a place to put it. I'll bet he finally gets one this upcoming year.

I love the Urals. I'd have one too if I had the disposable income and a place to put it. Their dealers say 65 mph is the maximum "safe" speed, though they actually recommend keeping it down to 55 mph. You could hit the Interstate with it, but would you really want to?

They offer all kinds of cool accessories. The 2-wheel drive ones are the best! Check out their off-road videos: http://www.imz-ural.com/downloads/movies.htm

I have a 1999 XL12S sportster with a liberty sport sidecar. I just looked up their website www.libertysidecars.com, and it looks like Pete Larsen only makes sidecars for the "big" bikes now. That's too bad. Maybe he had a hard time with the newer rubber mounted sportster frames. Fastest with a passenger was about 85mph, fun enough to still remember the run. Steering a hack is like steering a car-quad-trike, totally opposite than a bike (until you fly the car then your instantly reversed again). I learned by reading a "How to drive a sidecar" safety course manual--sorry I don't have the author, but the manual is out there, and you will find it if you want too. Now riding a sidecar rig has become second nature. Sidecar piloting is an honorable pursuit IMHO. You will make many people stop-stare-wave-and-smile. It's like always being in a parade.
Ride it like you stole it takes on a whole new meaning in your case.

The best thing about Urals is you can buy the Ural sidecar for the same price as a Harley sidecar... but the Ural comes with a bike.
