All the press releases show it having 6.25" of suspension travel, while the tech specs everywhere else say 5.63". Did they make a last minute change?

Mine has 5.63 front and rear. And if it is 6.25 who cares? Rides great as is and we have some real bad roads here and I might add goes just fine down dirt rods as well!

That's a pretty big discrepancy. I'm just surprised it hasn't been mentioned.

Actually WELCOME TO BUELL the only motorcycle company in the world where an owner can find an error (or a handful of them), have the folks notified within an hour and the errors corrected the next day.

Find me one other motorcycle company in the world (frankly, any COMPANY would be fine) where you can do that?

In addition, the folks at HD media do a really crummy job of sharing info with the folks who do the website. To get a sense of what they are up against, try copying the Kansas City phone book, by hand, in 3 days and getting it right.

But. . once again, thanks for the input. If you want to e-mail it to me, I'll get it fixed this week.

While we are on the topic of XB12STT specs, is the website correct in listing the lean angles of 46 degrees left (hard contact) and 53 degrees right (hard contact)? That is a much larger discrepancy than any of the other lightning models. In fact, the XB12s is listed as having 48 degrees to the left before hard contact.

Typo?

Looking at my bike the stand would ground out on the left OR the exhuast tip. None of those on the right side of course. Now as to the angle when this would happen I haven't a clue and not going out trying to drag things tonight!

So how do we tell them something is wrong?

ie the "Windscreen - Translucent Smoke" has the wrong part number on the website. The listed part number is actually "Windscreen - Translucant Red" which I have discovered the hard way by getting a Red shipped to me rather than Smoke.

Birdy,

I hear what you are saying, but I don't see why the kickstand would cause it to hit at 46 degrees. The rest of the lightnings have the same stand (I believe) and less ground clearance, yet they are listed at 48 degrees. They do have different exhaust tips, but is that really it?

Do you have any input on this Court?

When the 2008 website went up Barker consolidated all the various bugs folks found, reported them to me and they were fixed within 48 hours and I had him go back through and confirm.

If you want to send them to me, I'll try to help.
